Pick a monkey.
Change their whole year.
Oklahoma Primate Sanctuary provides enriched, lifetime care for captive primates — monkeys surrendered from the pet trade, retired from research, or rescued from private ownership. Sponsorship is a monthly gift that pays for that care: delicious food, enrichment, veterinary care, and habitat improvement.
Not a symbolic gesture. A grocery bill.
Fresh produce
Apples, sweet potato, corn, greens, and the walnuts Joey insists on cracking himself.
Daily medical
Beasley takes insulin every morning and medicine every night, for the rest of his life.
Weather appropriate housing
Heated houses, blankets to wrap up in, shade sails, and hammocks strong enough for two lemurs.
Enrichment
Scattered seed to forage, new puzzles built by caregivers, and a steady supply of unstuffed plushies.
Four ways in
Sponsorship is a recurring monthly gift, and every level names a specific resident. Cancel any time.

One resident, one year
A primate at OPS may live with us for thirty years or more. This is what a single year of that life costs to run — before anything is spent on staff salaries, fencing repairs, or the truck that hauls the produce.
Sponsorship gifts are unrestricted within animal care, so a surplus for one resident covers a shortfall for another. Nobody goes without.

A photograph of your primate
A beautiful photograph of the resident you chose, with information about who they are and how they came to us.
Updates from their caregivers
We’ll write to let you know what your adoptee has been up to — a new hammock, a first spring outside, a favorite plushie replaced.
A standing invitation
Sponsors are invited to our on-site sponsor days and to our annual gala.
Before you sponsor
Can more than one person sponsor the same resident?
Yes. Care costs far more than any one sponsorship covers, so every resident can have several sponsors at once. Nobody is ever taken off the list.
Do I get to visit or meet my monkey?
Not one-on-one. These are wild animals recovering from human contact, and their peace comes first. Sponsors are welcome at our scheduled sponsor days, where you can see your resident from a respectful distance.
Is a sponsorship the same as a gala ticket?
No — they are separate. Sponsorship is a recurring monthly gift toward one resident’s care, starting at $25 a month. The Wild Hearts Gala is our annual fundraising evening on October 16, 2026, ticketed separately at okprimates.org/events.
Can I sponsor as a gift?
Yes. Choose “dedicate this donation” at checkout — in honor of, or in memory of, someone — and we can send them an eCard with your message.
Is my gift tax-deductible?
Oklahoma Primate Sanctuary, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3), EIN 73-1522989, and a verified sanctuary. Your sponsorship is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law, and a receipt is emailed immediately.
Every one of them deserves a second chance.
Sixteen residents are waiting to be claimed. Pick the one whose face you can’t stop thinking about — $25 a month is where it starts.
